“Vela” is a handcut paper collage of the stars coming together in union to birth a new woman. A woman inspired by the gods, a woman destined for mystery and authenticity, a woman broken yet whole in her being. Coming around full circle in the cycle of conscious existence, Vela is passionate, emotional, and hopeful. She yearns for adventure. She lives through her heart. She loves like a child. She reaches out to brighten the lives of every human she comes across. “Vela” enjoys the simple things because that’s all there is. “Vela” is a collage that reminds the viewer to just be.
