“Kacchapa” is a handcut paper collage inspired by mythological legends of the turtle carrying the world on its shell. In Hindu mythology, the deity Vishnu at one point reincarnated as the turtle Kacchapa with the earth supported by four elephants standing on the back of a turtle, holding the world above their backs. This paper collage tells the journey one takes as they move through the galaxies with the weight of their worlds on their backs, knowing that they are supported and held.
