I had one of my friends who was there ask me what my creative process looked like when creating a collage. I thought about it for a moment and answered along the lines of, "For the most part, I just let intuition guide me. I see what story each piece I cut out tells me. For this particular piece, I got inspiration from another artwork I found of mushrooms coming out of a lady's head. So that part of this composition isn't original, but everything else in this piece is. As long as you remain thoughtful and honest with your artistic approach, everything else flows together like a gentle stream. I don't know where a piece is going to take me. But isn't that part of the journey?"
