🏹 “Callisto.” Born June 20, 2024. Part 3/4 of the “Across the Universe” collection.
“Callisto” is a handcut paper collage of a woman scorned by the gods. She reflects through space and time of the man who betrayed her, the child stolen from her, the women who annihilated her, and the freedom she lost. But Callisto is not angry. In fact, she is at peace with the calamities life bestowed onto her. Her world may have been flipped upside down, but she chooses to keep her faith, gazing up to the heavens, reaching her hand to all that sparkles. “Callisto” is a handmade collage made only with paper, glued together as one cohesive piece before being coated with triple-thick, high-gloss clear glaze.
